1.4 Specific Examples and Explanation

After writing a topic sentence and three reasons, you need to explain and/or give specific examples for each reason.

Here is our sample from Lesson 1.3:

Topic Sentence:

I want to go to Vietnam.

Reasons:

1. I want to hear and speak the Vietnamese language.
2. I love Vietnamese food.
3. I am interested in the people.

And here are our three reasons again, with examples and explanation:

1. I want to hear and speak the Vietnamese language.
   • soft
   • gentle
2. I love Vietnamese food.
